"The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks has been my go-to summer read for the past 4 years! It's a continuation of his infamous novel "The Notebook" following Noah and Allie's son-in-law, Wilson, as he learns how to be a better husband to his wife, Jane, of 30 years. While they are struggling with their failing marriage, their oldest daughter announces that she is engaged and will be getting married in 10 days. During this time Wilson realizes that this wedding will either make or break their marriage once and for all and he will stop at no length to re-learn to win over the love of his life.
If you have ever read a Nicholas Spark's book, or plan on reading one but never knew where to start, this is a book you need to read! It teaches you that love needs to be the focus of our lives, or nothing's worth living for at all. It will capture you from page one and you'll find it hard to put down. Besides, what woman doesn't love seeing a man fight for the love of his wife anyway?!
