Considering it had been since the Super Bowl that I had been to Bellingham I was quite eager to get there before the beautiful weather turned into fall... even though it rained 70% of the time! We drove there on Friday night after work with a stop for dinner at one of our favorite burgers joints, Dicks (that name cracks us up, and knowing our humor there were quite a few jokes thrown about!) We got to Bellingham around 11 and talked with Kyle and his new girl Whitney for about an hour then we all hit the hay.
In the morning Whitney met us back at the house and we went to a small sandwich shop nearby and took our food to eat at one of my favorite Bellingham spots, Whatcom Park. The park is so big with lots of walking trails and a couple huge waterfalls...which are my favorite things in nature, so I never say no to this spot. After lunch Whitney left for work and the Kyle's and I went back to the house and played Cities and Knights for awhile. We then went to see Whitney at work and she made us some milkshakes...on the house! Sweet! After that we were all hungry so we went to get some sushi and found a place to get some drinks and dessert afterwards that had live jazz players.
It was such a fun weekend and we always leave there saying that we have to make it work to move there sometime, there's just so much fun and unique things to enjoy about it!
