Although he came early we were all so excited when we heard that Ryan and Alyssa's little guy was on his way 2 weeks early!! Having gotten the call late on Tuesday night that they were headed to the hospital when her water broke Kyle and I picked up little Scout so we could watch him for a few days while they were in the hospital and even got another surprise visitor that night when my mom decided to spend the night!
That morning my mom and i, not so surprisingly, woke up early and got to the hospital around 8am where we waited with my dad until we heard the nursery song at 7:34pm letting us know that Kai David was finally here!! After waiting a little longer we were all able to go see the new parents and precious little guy in the room! He weighed 5lb 15oz and was 18 inches long (: I haven't seen a lot of newborns in my day but he was by far the tiniest little guy I had ever seen!
Kyle and I have spent a few days with them on and off since they have returned home from the hospital and I love seeing Ryan and Alyssa as new parents, and it's been comforting to hear all the things she tells me about delivery that no one else really tells you, so that's been nice since my time is going to be here sooner than later!!!
