Finding it too much of a challenge having a little pup and a newborn baby, Ryan and Alyssa had to make the hard decision to find a new home for their hound Scout. They had to either find a home for him right away or bring him back to the pound, which was nobody's first choice. After calling my parents on Sunday night to tell them they needed a home for Scout we were all torn as to what to do. Kyle and I talked about taking him, but with a $400 pet deposit and our baby coming soon we didn't want to be in the same position as they were currently in, so we had to say no. The next day before bringing Scout to the kennel, Ryan called my parents one last time who agreed to take Scout for them (:
Now that it's been a few days i think my mom especially is growing used to having Scout around, although it still comes with its tiring side, being that he's mainly potty trained, but still learning...but he is going more and more outside and once they get the shock collar started again it should be a breeze because they can put him outside without worrying that he'll wonder off!
It was also a change for Buddy having Scout there, but they had already spent a lot of time together, so he knew who Scout is, but is probably wondering why he's not going home yet, but it's good for both dogs to have a playmate around anytime they want!
This situation was hard for everyone, but God is smiling down on my parents for loving this little pup and bringing him to a loving home!! Thank you mom and dad for keeping our Scooter in the family!!
The adjustment's getting easier and Scout seems to enjoy being here. Thanks for your sweet comments!
